- Bake (焗烤、烘焙、烘烤): 在中文維基百科上看不太出來定義, 但是英文版上有比較技術性的定義

所以, 叫花雞應該也算是用烤的!? - Grill (炭烤之類的): 基本上就是用網子烤的, 主要的差異在於是用熱輻射把食物烤熟而不像 Bake 主要是靠熱傳導.

不過現在好像也沒分得很嚴格, 有一些鍋子像是 grill pan 或 griddle 根本就是靠熱傳導的, 也被叫做 grill. - Broil: 基本上就是 Grill. 只是在美國用來專指熱源在食物上方的 grill.

- Roast: 泛指所有的"烤"

對我這種一般人來說, "烤" 就是 "烤", 沒什麼差異,所以我查了教育部重編國語辭典,發現從中文來說, 燒烤, 火烤, 烘烤等等其實沒有什麼差異. 難怪人家說英文比較嚴謹了. 呵呵。
