Kibibyte (KiB)

最近看到的一個有趣的文章。裡面提到 Byte 的定義不是 8 bits，octet 才是 8 bits。 Byte 是 8 bits 比較接近約定俗成的定義。而 1 KB 應該解釋為 1000 bytes，所以如果要表達 2¹⁰=1024 bytes 應該寫成 1 Kibibyte (KiB)。

我想很多資電背景的人都不知道吧 XD 至少我不知道。

The kibibyte is a multiple of the unit byte for quantities of digital information. The binary prefix kibi means 1024; therefore, 1 kibibyte is 1024bytes. The unit symbol for the kibibyte is KiB.[1] The unit was established by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) in 1999[2] and has been accepted for use by all major standards organizations.
